Katavia is situated at the southern end of Rhodes. A further 8 km at the end of island are the extraordinary beaches of Prasonisi.

Katavia is a charming, traditional village, where you can find everything that large tourist centres don’t offer. Friendly local Greeks, delicious traditional food, available from seven local restaurants, and a short distance to the windsurfing Mecca of Prasonisi are the undeniable benefits of the village and a guarantee of unforgettable moments.

The majority of tourists staying in Katavia are windsurfers and kiters who spend the whole day on the sea. In the evenings there is a fantastic relaxed atmosphere; particularly after days that had a strong stable wind, which there are many of in Prasonisi!

It is worth adding that Katavia has 180 permanent inhabitants and the whole village is a protected Greek heritage site.
